Thursdays 8/10 and 8/17, 6:00

Good afternoon! I hope you're enjoying the sunny weather and have some air conditioning to relax/escape in.

Speaking of air conditioning, we do NOT have A/C at the Hale Home. The trees definitely keep things here cool, but anything above the 90 degree mark with a large gathering of people can make it a challenge! So, instead of meeting at our house this coming week (the 10th), we'll be meeting at our next door neighbor's home - which also happens to be my parents' house. They are excited to have us over, and have lots of toys and childproofing for the kids. Head over to our house as usual, and just stop at the house just below ours. If you need the address or directions, please contact me or Will and we'll help you out.

This week, the 10th:
We'll be having a Mexican food theme. Some ideas we have is for several people to bring meat for various types of tacos, or a pan of enchiladas if you're up for it. The rest of us can bring side dishes. I'm not sure how many people we'll have this week, so I'm going to keep my eye on the comments and shoot for providing seasoned chicken for about 8 people. I'll probably do tortillas or a side dish as well, depending on what others bring.

Next week, the 17th:
Let's do a sandwich bar. I'm hoping we'll be back in the 80 degree range so we can meet back at our house (keep an eye out here for updates, we may end up changing the location if it's supposed to be super hot again). We will provide bread for everyone, and about 8 servings of one type of meat. Sign up to bring either more meat, toppings, or sides!

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

  6. Update from the Hales: We will be meeting at our house this week. 😊

We also have ham and turkey lunchmeat for about 8 sandwiches, and 24 sub rolls. We have plenty of mayo, mustard, ketchup, and pickles as well.
